Outline of Research at the Start	造血幹細胞（HSC）は血液系を再構築する移植細胞として臨床的に極めて重要である。移植用HSCの慢性的な不足を解消するヒトiPS細胞から機能的なHSCへの誘導法開発が長年待望されているが、胎児期におけるHSCの機能獲得メカニズムが不明であるため、現在まで実現には至っていない。本研究ではHSC単独ではなく、その機能獲得の場である胎児肝臓環境を試験管内構築する革新的アプローチにより、HSCの機能誘導（機能的イニシエーション）機序解明と制御法開発をおこなう。
