Outline of Research at the Start	がんワクチンはがん抗原とアジュバントを投与することで誘導される細胞傷害性T細胞（CTL）にがん細胞を攻撃させる治療法である。しかし、その抗原は自己由来のためCTLのがん細胞を認識・攻撃する能力は高くない。そこで、CTLのがん細胞に対する攻撃力を向上させるための新たな戦略が求められている。申請者は、がん細胞に外来抗原タンパク質を取り込ませることで、その特異的CTLとがん細胞の間で強い免疫応答が誘導されることを見出している。本申請では、がん細胞に認識される多糖のヒアルロン酸を利用し、外来抗原ペプチドをがん細胞へ送達させ、抗原性の改変を行うことでCTLに対する感受性が向上することを明らかにする。
