Outline of Research at the Start

近代日本の哲学者、とりわけ西田幾多郎、田辺元、三木清は、哲学する者がいかにして政治的なものに応答しうるか、という課題に身をもって挑んだ。彼らの苦闘を評価すべく、同じく20世紀のただなかで哲学と政治の間柄を深く掘り下げたアーレントの思考に照らし合わせる。ハイデガーに学んだアーレントは、プラトン以来の西洋政治思想の伝統が政治的行為を技術的制作、つまり「作る」というモデルで理解してきたことを根本的に批判した。こうした制作と政治をめぐる問題系を基軸に据えて、西田の「行為的直観」、田辺の「種の論理」、三木の「構想力の論理」のアクチュアリティを明らかにする。
