Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では「理解するとはどういうことか」を認識的理解と意味理解という二つの側面から分析し、理解の条件の文脈依存性を明らかにする。そのうえで、それらをまとめ上げるコア原則を探究し、理解についての統一的な文脈主義理論の構築を目指す。上記の目的を遂行するために、本研究では（１）現代認識論の〈理解〉の条件と価値の研究、（２）ウィトゲンシュタイン哲学における〈理解〉概念の探究、（３）認知科学や言語学等における〈理解〉についての理論の研究という三つの研究方法からのアプローチを試みる。
