Outline of Research at the Start	私たちはたがいに、なぜ、どこまで助け合うべきなのか。この問題はグローバル経済の進展とその下での格差の拡大、移民の増大という諸条件のもとで「どういう社会を選択するか」という現実的な争点を形作る。しかし上述の諸条件に向き合い、しかも「私たち」のなかに未来世代を入れねばならない環境危機に注視すれば、この問題は「人間とはどのようなものであるか、あるべきか」という次元で考えざるをえない。本研究はケアの倫理とヨナスの責任原理から新たな人間存在論の構築を試み、それによって正義と権利を基底とする近現代の正統的な倫理理論の限界を明らかにして、後者の射程を前者の基盤の上に相対的に位置づけることを目的とする。
