Outline of Research at the Start

将来世代に向けて文化財を保存することの重要性は国際的な倫理規範においても明示されている。しかし、専門外の人々がどの程度それにコミットするべきかには議論の余地がある。哲学的見地にたってみても、我々がまだ見ぬ人々になぜ責任を負うかはそれほど明らかでない。将来への責任に関する議論を発展させてきた分野に世代間倫理があり、本研究はその蓄積を文化財保存の文脈に応用しようとするものである。本研究の目的は、現在世代が将来世代に対して文化財を保存する責任があるか、あるとしたらそれはどのような責任であるかを、保存の思想と実践に照らしつつ検討することである。
