Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、フランスの哲学者ベルクソンによる新しい合理性の構想を包括的に把握することを目指す。
歴史上、現代に至るまで、多くの哲学者が合理性をめぐる問題に取り組んできた。異なる価値のあいだの選択は合理的でありうるか、道徳にとって合理的であることは重要か、定義なしに理論構築（合理的理解）は可能か、などである。そして、ベルクソンは一般に非合理主義者とされるが、実はこれらの問いに取り組み、一見して非合理な行為や、定義できないほど複雑な事象をも包摂しうる、より柔軟で拡張された合理性を構想している。この点を具体的に示し、ベルクソン哲学の意義を鮮明に示すことが、本研究の目的である。
