Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、プラトン『国家』篇に登場するものの、有名な哲人王国家とは異なり伝統的解釈では軽視されてきたもう一つの国家である「豚の国」（人々が分業しながら素朴でつつましい生活を営む小国家）に焦点を当て、以下のような考察を展開するものである。(a)「豚の国」論をプラトンが導入した意義を探る。(b)「豚の国」論を参照軸として、『国家』全体の構想などを探る。(c)現代的視点（持続可能性、戦争・平和論など）から豚の国を再評価する。(d)西洋における国家起源論の新たな系譜を探索する。
