Outline of Research at the Start	日本中世初期の法然（1133-1212）は、日本浄土宗の祖師にして「鎌倉新仏教」の先駆者とされる。その主著『選択本願念仏集』（以下、『選択集』）の伝本（写本/版本）は大きく「略本」と「広本」の2系統に分けることができ、後者すなわち広本の伝本は亡佚（散逸）してしまったとされてきた。しかし研究代表者は2024年4月、現存しないとされてきた広本系統である三宝寺本『選択集』を石川武美記念図書館成簣堂文庫（東京都）で発見した。本研究ではこの学界未知の三宝寺本『選択集』を利用しつつ、法然本人の思想の実態と、それが後人によって受容され改変されていった過程を分析する。
