Outline of Research at the Start

本研究においては、アルターパッティ（論理的要請、推定、含意）と推理という二つの認識手段をめぐる仏教徒とインド哲学諸派（主にミーマーンサー学派とジャイナ教徒）の論争とこれら三つの学派の関係性について考察する。ミーマーンサー学派はアルターパッティを正しい認識手段の一つと見なすが、仏教はこれを独立した認識手段としては認めず推理に還元しようとする。『真実集成』及び『真実集成細注』第19章「他の認識手段の考察」第３節「アルターパッティの吟味」と第18章「推理の考察」の記述を比較することを通じて、仏教・ミーマーンサー学派・ジャイナ教の三者がどのような関係にあり、どの程度影響を与え合ったかについて解明する。
