Outline of Research at the Start	時に最高の大乗経典とされる「華厳経」の最終章「入法界品」（ガンダ・ヴューハ経）を梵語原典から新たに現代語訳し、それを公表していくと同時に、その内容を大乗仏教思想史、仏教美術史など様々な視点から解明する。そのために、研究参加者による週一度の研究会だけでなく、講演会やワークショップを開催し、内外の華厳経研究者の知見を吸収するよう努力する。その結果、極めて難解とされる「インド華厳思想」の解明に資することになると信じる。
