Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、近代日本のイスラーム研究において研究上の空白となってきた明治期の学問と翻訳をめぐる先行研究に従って立てた作業仮説の下、イスラームに関する日本語文献を資料に読解を進め、資料同士の関係性や原著との関係を分析しながら、日本におけるイスラーム言説の基盤となった知の展開を明らかにし、近代日本宗教史におけるイスラームの知の展開を再定位し、イスラームをめぐる言説の展開を明らかにする。
