Outline of Research at the Start

中世日本の戦争叙述のうち、通海撰『太神宮参詣記』を中心に分析する。特に神々が天皇を外護し「朝敵」や「異賊」を征伐する華夷構造をともなう叙述に着目し、そこに「天皇」の正統性を受容するエクリチュールが成立している点を明らかにし、その背後にある文化的コンテクストを読み解く。さらに、対モンゴル軍への異国調伏祈祷の思想的意味や、「神風」言説の変遷を通じて、中世日本の対外観と自己認識を思想史的に検討する。戦争に神仏の意志が介入しする叙述は、中世では政治的秩序や天皇の正統性を対称化する華夷構造を照射するものであるが、現代の歴史認識やナショナル・アイデンティティのにつながる問題として考察する。
