Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、英国の経験論者フランシス・ベーコン（1561-1626）に由来する「哲学的同盟」の概念が、啓蒙思想家ドゥニ・ディドロ（1713-84）の著作および『百科全書』（1751-72）の哲学・科学項目において、思弁知（理論・仮説など）と実践知（実験・観察・技術など）の統合を通じた総合知の創出と、出版を通じたその公共化にどのように貢献したかを究明する。本研究は、ディドロ・『百科全書』研究に加え、啓蒙思想研究全般に、思弁知と実践知を統合した総合知の創出と出版によるその公共化、という現代的な視座をもたらせると考える。
