Outline of Research at the Start	従来、あまり注目されてこなかった、18世紀のスコットランド啓蒙期の思想、その道徳哲学に焦点をあてつつ、そこでの法理論が、感情主義としてどのような意義をもちうるのかを研究する。そしてこれは単なる古典研究というのではなく、思想研究として、現代の、やや理性主義に偏った法、政治、社会においてどのような提言ができるのかを考え、有益な提言をおこなっていく。
