Outline of Research at the Start

ミャンマー古典歌謡の伝承方法は現在でも口承が軸であるが、1920年代頃より様々な楽譜が作られるようになり、伝承において一定の役割を果たすようになっている。古典歌謡は常に即興的なバリエーションを持って演奏され、楽譜の演奏に対する規範性は強くないものの、楽譜への志向は強まる傾向にある。本研究では、ミャンマー音楽の記譜法を整理し体系的に提示した上で、即興的なバリエーションによって演奏される音楽の伝承において、音を固定して記譜した楽譜がどのように機能しているのかを明らかにする。そして、楽譜と伝承、実際の演奏の多様な関係のケーススタディーとして、他地域との比較研究に新たな知見をもたらすことを目指す。
