Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は19世紀後半から20世紀初頭にかけてフランスおよびイギリスで刊行されたフローラルアート関連文献で、日本のいけ花が取り上げられた経緯とその内容、いけ花の要素を取り入れた作品事例を調査し、美学的・思想的背景を分析して、ジャポニスム研究では未だ明瞭化されていないフローラルアートにおけるジャポニスムの実態を解明するものである。ジャポニスムの重要テーマである自然観に関して植物自体を扱う分野から新知見を加える。
