Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は弁士について、先行研究が主眼としてきた男性弁士の最盛期の1920年代ではなく、それ以前の1910年代までの弁士の形成期と、1930年代以降の弁士の衰退期を焦点化することで、新たな日本映画史像を描き出そうとするものである。それは「女流説明者」としての女性弁士の存在を歴史的に前景化させることでもある。本研究の成果は、近年の弁士への国際的な研究と実演の両面からの注目の高まりと相まって、学術的、社会的にインパクトを有することが見込まれる。
