Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、昭和戦前期から終戦後の前衛芸術家・団体を出所とする資料群を、従来の美術史学的アプローチに加えてアーカイブズ学的アプローチにより検討することで、日本近現代美術史を再検証する。まず、古沢岩美、寺田政明等の未整理資料群について概要調査、整理作業等を実施し、それらに含まれる個々の記録や資料に関する美術史学的分析と、資料群全体の構造に関するアーカイブズ学的分析を行う。また、複数の資料群の構造比較を実施する。資料群の構造分析等のアーカイブズ学的方法によって芸術家・団体の活動を探る本研究の試みは、従来の美術史学的方法だけでは把握できなかった日本近現代美術史の別の側面を可視化するであろう。
