Outline of Research at the Start

1940年代から50年代に新美術人協会に出品した朝倉摂、藤田妙子、青龍社に出品した柴田安子、小畠鼎子ら女性の日本画家たちの活動に注目する。彼女たちがどのような家庭環境から美術団体に参加して活動するに至ったのかを明らかにし、美術団体を通して社会と関わることがどのような意味を持ったのかを考察する。しかし60年代以降は継続が困難になるため、女性の活動に必要な環境、阻んだ要因についても考察する。
