Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、戦国期の１６世紀に、はたして茶の湯はどのように成立、展開したのかという問題意識に基づき、当該期において、どのような茶の湯が行われたのか、「茶の湯」の原型となった武家儀礼「御成」を中心とした政治儀礼、および宗教儀礼の飲食饗応儀礼と「茶の湯」との関係性、この２点の解明に向けてさまざまな専門分野から調査研究を行なうものである。多分野からのアプローチで広く、そして根本的に茶道史を見直し、喫茶文化史という大きな枠組みに位置づけることを目的とする。
