Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、明末清初（16世紀後半～18世紀初頭）の南京で活躍した画派「金陵派」について、これまでの研究動向を整理しつつ、新たに日本所蔵の新出資料を含めた書画作品と文字史料の研究を総合させ、①画派の形成を育んだ人的ネットワークの精査、②画家たちの倣古意識や郷里への思慕等が画風にいかに作用したか、という、未だ十分な考察がなされているとは言い難い2つの側面に関して主に考察する。それにより、画派の形成と発展の実相を新たな視点から述べるとともに、明末清初に多彩な地方画壇が成立する上で、南京という地が果たした重要な役割を明らかにしたい。
