Outline of Research at the Start

日本語通訳として日朝外交を主導した倭学訳官は、日本向けの茶陶を釜山近郊の窯で私的に焼かせて富を得たが、これを「判事茶碗」と呼ぶ。日本人が関与しないその造形は、ひとつの器のなかに朝鮮時代の地方窯様式と、日本人が好む朝鮮陶磁様式への「解釈」が交錯するユニークな姿を取る。昨年に最も中心となる窯跡が発掘され、訳官と美術に関する関心も高まっている。本研究では韓国の研究機関との共同研究を目指し、朝鮮産の日本向け茶陶窯について初めてとなる学術的なアプローチを目指す。さらには日本から中国・景徳鎮へ注文がなされた古染付や祥瑞との比較を行い、北東アジア陶磁史における判事茶碗、ひいては「高麗茶碗」の位置づけを問う。
