Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、20世紀前半のフランス美術批評を中心に、居住空間における作品、家具、小物、造形物などの配置や取り合わせをめぐる評価、そこに生ずる調和の表象について分析するものである。作品のあるべき配置や家具との関係、そこから生じる調和を模索する嗜好は、雑誌等を通じて拡散されることで、公的空間での芸術鑑賞とは異なる芸術経験の一部を構成していた。本研究は、おもに1920-30年代の美術雑誌や美術愛好家向けの指南書などを手がかりに、居住空間と絵画作品をはじめとする美術作品の配置をめぐる理論や批評を分析し、私的空間のなかで享受される芸術という観点から20世紀前半のフランス美術（史）を再構成するものである。
