Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は日本において印刷技術が飛躍的に発展した1900年代から1950年代を対象とし、ポスターや図案集などのグラフィックデザインを取りまく同時代の印刷技術や流通という諸要素が、印刷物の表現や内容にどのような影響を与えたのかという点について、具体的な事例に即して考察する。作品と関連文献の調査とともに、色材や印刷技法に関する科学的な視点からの考察も加えることで、各々の印刷技法に伴う物理的条件とグラフィック表現との影響関係と、多様な印刷表現が近代美術に果たした意義を明らかにすることを目指す。
