Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、戦間期から戦後にかけて日本の舞踊界に大きな足跡を残した人物の一人、蘆原英了（1907～1981）の舞踊領域における活動の全体像を、史料研究とインタビューの手法を併用しながら構築することを第一の目的とするものである。またその上で、蘆原の生涯にわたる活動が、戦間期から戦後にかけての我が国の舞踊界にもたらしたものは何かについて、換言すれば、日本の「舞踊文化」の形成過程における彼の活動の歴史的意義について検討し解明することを目指している。蘆原に関する伝記研究はこれまでなされてきておらず、本研究は、彼に関する初の伝記研究の試みとして位置付けられる。
