Outline of Research at the Start	ヨーロッパ諸国における日本発ポピュラー文化の人気は、もはや一部のマニア向けの一時的な現象ではなく、現地の社会的・文化的特徴と繋がり、独自の文化的生態系が生まれている。既存のファン文化中心のエンターテインメントとしてマンガ・アニメを見る視点に加え、ここ10年ほどは、マンガ=芸術・文化といった、いわゆる「教養」として見る視点が目立つ。本研究では、1. ヨーロッパにおけるマンガ・アニメを中心とする日本のポピュラー文化受容の現状を「ファン文化」と「教養」の二つの視点から調査・分析し、2. 調査の結果をアジア、アフリカなどの他地域の現状と比較・考察することを通じて3. 今後の文化政策の在り方を検討する。
