Outline of Research at the Start

急速な高齢化に伴い，厚生労働省調査研究では日本の認知症総数は2020年に964万人であったのが、2070年には2,828万人へ増加することが見込まれている。このような高齢化社会に突入する中で、認知症への治療アプローチとして“薬理学的介入”と音楽療法を含む“非薬理学的介入”の両方を組み合わせた包括的なアプローチが推奨されている現状がある。非薬理学的介入が必要とされているのであれば、その科学的根拠をとることは、重要な課題であり、今後の認知症患者における音楽療法のシステムを確立させていくためにも、本研究の核であるNIRSを用いた計測は必要不可欠となる研究であると考えられる。
