Outline of Research at the Start	「なぜイスラーム文化圏で家業として科学に取り組む家が出現したのか」という問いに答えるために、ケプルル図書館写本とサービトの伝記資料を元に、サービー家における家業としての科学活動の解明を目指す。今までまともに研究されてこなかった人間活動としての科学研究を明らかにする第一歩としてサービー家を取り上げ、イスラーム文化圏に見られた家業としての科学研究という側面を明らかにすることで、家を核とした科学の担い手たちの科学の担い手たちの人的ネットワークの形成の仕方を明らかにし、ひいてはイスラーム文化圏が科学研究の中心になった背景を解明する。
