Outline of Research at the Start

芭蕉没後の都市系俳諧の実態を、句風の難解化という問題を切り口に解明する。主に注目するのは、江戸で前句付興行を行っていた貞門俳諧師不角、芭蕉没後、彦根俳壇を牽引した蕉門の許六、当時京都で人気を博した春澄や団水の交友圏内にあった俳人李梅である。俳系や活動圏を異にする三者の連句を、共通の分析基準に基づいて統一的に分析することで、その差異を客観的に提示し、句風の難解化の度合やその性格の違い、背景等を実証的に示す。また、各地の俳人の交流のさまや、都市系・地方系の二元論ではとらえられない俳壇の重層的な構造をあぶり出すことで、芭蕉没後の混迷期として看過されてきた宝永・正徳期の俳壇の全体像を明らかにする。
