Outline of Research at the Start

陽明文庫一般文書中の文学関係資料のうち、室町末期・江戸初期の近衛家四代、前久・信尹・信尋・尚嗣に関わる資料の悉皆調査をこれまで行ってきたことで、その全体像を把握できており、当代の近衛家の文事について総合的に考察するための必要条件が整っている。
全ての前久・信尹書状から文学的営為に関する記述を拾い出し、翻刻・解読を行ない、そのデータベース化を行う。前久・信尹という親子間で交わされた書状は、彼らの行動・知識・教養・思想・子弟教育の実際を知ることのできる第一次資料であると同時に、親子の真情が吐露された文学的資料である。近衛家という家や伝統的文化にいかに対峙したのか、文学史的・文化史的考察を加える。
