Outline of Research at the Start

近世後期京都俳壇における芭蕉顕彰資料の継続的な収集と、芭蕉顕彰俳諧の考察が進み、京都における芭蕉顕彰俳諧が、西国から東国へと全国に波及していく様相が見えてきた。なかでも、京都東山芭蕉堂の花供養会を中心とした「芭蕉顕彰俳諧」が京都から全国へ広がっていく様相を考証し、俳文学史に位置付けすることを目的とする。さらには、これまでの成果を発展させ、俳諧撰集『花供養』の各年の俳人分布地図を作成して視覚化し、全国に広がる様相を考察する。また、芭蕉顕彰俳諧は、芭蕉の顕彰を中心に据えることを特徴とするが、公家の二条家との関りや芭蕉の偶像化を生み出した背景も視野に入れて考察する。
