Outline of Research at the Start

従来、文学作品の言葉は想像的かつ創造的で、その結果、情念や無意識など日常言語では拾えない人間の隠れた部分の表現が可能となる一方、社会制度運用の言語とは相容れないとされてきた。本研究ではこうしたステレオタイプに異を唱え、文学作品に事務文書のフォーマットが組み込まれることが多いこと、その結果として、文学作品は社会がどれくらい文書主義に依存しているかを可視化するのに役立つことなどを示し、さらに文学作品が事務処理的な言語運用の威力や歪み、圧迫や潜在力などを物語化し、「実践的」とされる言語をときには批判的に、ときには肯定的にとらえるうるということを明らかにする。
