Outline of Research at the Start

1990年代以降展開した、主体性生産に着目したネオリベラリズム体制の批判的研究と、身体的物質性のダイナミズムに着目した情動研究を背景に、アフリカ系アメリカ演劇における主体性とエージェンシー（agency)および情動の作用を歴史的に分析する。19世紀から20世紀転換期、1950年代、1990年代というアフリカ系アメリカ演劇の転換期の代表的作品における主体性と市場の関係、および主体の資本化を脱臼し異なる思考を生み出す潜在的可能性の有無を探る。同時に現代アメリカ演劇でも特に市場と人間の関係に着目するユダヤ系作家の作品との比較によって、人種と主体の資本化の問題との関係を検討する。
