Outline of Research at the Start

中世に成立したフランスのパリ起源の根拠となっていた「フランクス伝承」が16世紀後半から知識層の考証研究によって否定されていく過程と、そのような上部知識階層からの「フランクス伝承」の否定が、パリに住む人々のパリ起源と歴史認識にどのような変化をもたらしたかを考察し、都市の起源論が都市社会と住人に果たした機能と意味を明らかにする。
