Outline of Research at the Start

第一に、パスカルの人間学を、『パンセ』の草稿資料も用いて、彼自身のテクストに即して総合的に考究する。第二に、パスカルの人間学の起源を、とりわけモンテーニュからの影響を通じて検討する。前者のために、すべての断章を最近の知見を参照しながら再読し、新たな『パンセ』全訳を完成・刊行する。後者のために、モンテーニュとパスカルの思想のa)政治論、b)認識論、c)修辞論、d)身体観、e)寛容思想、f)死生観・宗教観における影響関係について、とくにパスカルの批判・抵抗の側面に着目しながら体系的に考察を進める。
