Outline of Research at the Start

文語（書き言葉）に重点を置いたこれまでのスィンディー語研究とは一線を画し、本研究では、これまでの研究中に疑問として残っていた口語に焦点を当てる。
現在入手可能なスィンディー語の文法書は英領インド時代のものの再版、もしくは1980年代に編纂されたことを考えると、その後50年間で，文法構造に変化がないとは考えにくく、現代スィンディー語口語がどのような統語構造に従っているのかを明らかにすることは、現代インド・アーリヤ諸語に共通に見られる文法構造、特に動詞句の統語構造の実態を知る点からも重要である。
