Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、チベット文化圏の南東端に位置する中国雲南省を中心とする地域におけるチベット系諸言語（シナ・チベット語族チベット・ビルマ語派）について、地理言語学と口承による民族移動史を組み合わせて、従前文字によって記録されたことがない言語史を再構築し、同地に分布するカムチベット語の複数の方言群が多様で独特な言語特徴をいかにして獲得したかという問題の解明を目的とする。本研究の主たる対象は、雲南で話されるカムチベット語の４つの方言群のうちの香格里拉方言群とし、記述言語学・地理言語学・民族移動史の観点から研究を進める。言語地図作成と移住史を用いた新しい方法論を確立し、言語史の解明へ寄与する。
