Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、生成統語理論の中心的概念である「統語変形」の概念を、論理学に基づく文法理論であるタイプ論理文法の論理学的演繹推論の一種として形式化する。統語変形に関しては、伝統的に「連続的循環性」と呼ばれる純粋に構造構築に関わる制約として捉える説が定説となっている。これを演繹推論に関する制約として捉えなおすことにより、自然言語が何故「連続的循環性」のような性質を示すのかという根本的な謎に対して、意味解釈の計算という観点から新たな説明が得られる。
