Outline of Research at the Start |
This research project investigates the usefulness of ChatGPT for productive language use in L2 German instruction in Japan. The aim is to determine how suitable this application of AI is for translations, corrections, language explanations and as an interaction partner for Japanese learners of German. To this end, tasks will be developed, which require learners to interact with ChatGPT. To evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of AI-assisted task completion, the effectiveness of the task sets developed in this project will be compared with conventional task-based teaching methods.
