Outline of Research at the Start

音声言語、手話言語にかかわらず全ての言語において、韻律（プロソディ）はその言語における発話の生成と知覚を行ううえで、必要不可欠な役割を担っていることは明らかである。本研究で特に注目する韻律特性はアメリカ手話などの言語では研究が進んでいるが、日本手話については未解明の点が多いのが現状である。本研究では、Nicodemus (2009)のアメリカ手話での分類を参考に、手話言語におけるプロソディックマーカーである「手話空間」と「目の動き」に注目し、韻律および談話の両側面から分析し、日本手話に表出する韻律的情報とその意味用法の対応関係の実態を明らかにしようとするものである。
