Outline of Research at the Start	乳児は生後早期の段階で世界に存在するほぼすべての言語音を弁別できると言われている。しかし、大人になってから第二言語の音声を習得する際、母語に存在する音の場合は、それが正の転移になり第二言語の習得が促進されるものの、母語に存在しない音の場合は知覚と産出（発音）ともに苦労することが多い。本研究では、第二言語学習者の発音上（単音）の問題点が多いとされる音に注目し、母語話者および学習者の調音上の特徴を客観的計測法（超音波診断装置などの非侵襲的装置）を用いて観察する。それにより、第二言語の音声習得や構音障害の分野へ重要な知見を提供することを目指す。
