Outline of Research at the Start

生成文法理論の最新の枠組みであるミニマリスト・プログラム(MP)では、生得的言語機能(UG)は一つの単純な併合(Merge)操作に還元され、言語とは独立の最小計算の原理との相互作用により言語能力(FL)を捉えようとしている。本研究では、主要部移動現象に対して新しい提案に基づいた説明を試みる。従来仮定されてきた主要部から主要部への移動を廃し、統語部門における構造構築は、すべて単純併合操作で行われると主張する。この研究は、統語部門研究の発展のみならず、形態音韻部門研究の進展にも寄与することを目的とする。
