Outline of Research at the Start	この研究は「値」の概念を含む言語表現の統語構造と統語的派生を明らかにし，その意味的特性を考察することを目的とする。この研究は，「指定文」「『地図をたよりに』付帯状況表現」「潜伏疑問」「量関係節」「比較構文」の各構文が「指定文」の原型となる要素をその構造と統語的派生の中に含んでいるということを示し，そのような仮定のもとに展開する言語分析の統語的・意味論的な意義と理論的・経験的帰結を示すことを目的とする。この研究は言語の理論的研究であり，アンケートや人を対象とする実験・調査などを含まない。
