Outline of Research at the Start	反使役他動詞とは、他動詞でありながら出来事の自発的な発生を表す表現であり、通言語的にも様々な言語で観察される。先行研究では少数の用例に基づいて反使役他動詞の特性の記述や分析が行われてきたが、反使役他動詞は主語・動詞・目的語の組み合わせによって容認性が変化するため、コーパス等による量的なデータ収集に基づく記述分析が必要不可欠である。本研究では、日英語の反使役他動詞に焦点を当て、コーパスを用いて量的に用例を収集して正確な記述分析を行う。さらに、比較対照を通じて日英語間で反使役他動詞の特性が異なることを明らかにし、対照言語学的観点から反使役他動詞に関する新たな分析を提案し、その経験的妥当性を示す。
