Outline of Research at the Start	本研究課題では、以下の２つの問を柱として、言語の「構造構築の仕組み」の研究を行う。 [I] 「併合(Merge)」操作が、主に機能範疇を伴う依存関係をどのように構築し、意味解釈や音声形式がどのように決定されているか。 [II] 多様な言語データにおいて観察される個別言語間の差異を統一的に捉えるには、どのような言語システムが妥当であるか。文を生成するには語と語を併合する必要がある。「併合」は単純に集合を作るのか、又はその他の文法関係をも同時に構築するのかという問いを、特にwh疑問文、感嘆文、分裂文等において見られる様々な制約に関して、日本語、英語、CVC等の多様なデータを比較することで検討する。
