Outline of Research at the Start	日本でも外国人材の受け入れが加速している。外国人の定住化に伴い、その対応は「受け入れ」という短期的なスパンではなく、「統合」のために移民第一世代だけでなく次世代も含む時間軸が必要となる。日本語能力は移民にとって社会参加のために必須の能力であり、日本語教育は単に習得方法だけではなく、日本語使用により達成される社会的地位や心理にも配慮し、デザインがなされなければならない。このような社会的な要請に応じて、本研究では、外国人集住地区である新宿区大久保地域をフィールドに、移民政策と言語政策を援用した移動の時代における「統合」のための日本語教育の理論と実践の枠組みを開発することを目的とする。
