Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の申請者は，インターネット上の仮想空間であるメタバースが，その没入感により記憶を記憶を強く定着させる点に着目し，2021年度からメタバースを活用した外国語教育を実践してきた．
本研究では，この教授法に生成AIを導入し，学習者がAIを搭載したアバターとメタバース内で会話練習を行う学習環境を構築することを目指す．ネイティブレベルの練習相手と随時自由に会話できるこの学習環境は，課外でのリアルなコミュニケーション練習を実現し，模擬留学を日常的に体験できる革新的な学習方法であり．学習者の興味度や学習効果のさらなる向上が期待される．
