Outline of Research at the Start

日本人英語学習者にとって、関係節は習得の難しいtrouble spotである。本研究では、英語を学習する日本語母語話者約40名を対象に、赤外線を用いた身体非接触型の注視点追跡装置を用いて、自己ペースによる読文実験、および文法性判断テストを行い、関係節文の処理プロセスを生理学的に解明する。それによって、英語関係節の習得に日本語の前置修飾構造がCLIとして干渉している可能性を検証する。また、英語関係節の習得を妨げている要因を視線計測実験によって生理学的に特定することによって、効果的な学習法を開発する。
