Outline of Research at the Start	This study aims to explore longitudinally how students’ capacity to speak (CTS) in their English second language (L2) and their "language other than English" (LOTE) L3 change before, during and after their study abroad (SA) in a non-English speaking country by answering the following research questions: 1. What patterns will emerge in learners’ CTS in L2 (English) before, during and after SA? 2. What patterns will emerge in learners’ CTS in their L3 (LOTE) before, during and after SA? 3. What factors might underlie these patterns? 4. What are the implications for dual language SA programs?
